What is IPL+RF hair removal?

IPL +RF (Intense Pulsed Light + Radio Frequency) technology is a modern, non-invasive procedure developed for the permanent reduction of unwanted facial and body hair. We recommend IPL+RF technology primarily for facial hair removal, as it is more precise, gentle, and effective in removing fine hair, especially on sensitive areas.

The procedure combines the broad-spectrum light pulses of IPL with the heating effect of radiofrequency energy, making it more effective than IPL technology alone.

The targeted light of IPL reaches the pigments of the hair follicle, while the radio frequency penetrates deeper and heats the hair follicle. This combination ensures that hair growth is stopped without damaging the surrounding skin.

How does IPL+RF hair removal work?

1. IPL (Intense Pulsed Light): Broad spectrum light binds to the melanin pigment in the hair follicle, generating heat that damages the follicle.

How often should IPL+RF hair removal be performed?

The key to the effectiveness of IPL+RF hair removal is understanding the hair growth cycle. Hair grows in three distinct phases: growth, resting and shedding. The treatment can only effectively target hairs in the growth phase , so timing of treatments is important.

• Interval between treatments: treatments should be performed every 4-6 weeks to reach hairs that are just entering the growth cycle. In the facial area, where hair grows faster, treatments can be performed at intervals of up to 4 weeks.
• Recommended number of treatments: A full course of treatment usually consists of 6-8 sessions , as not all hair follicles are in the growth phase at the same time. Depending on individual skin type, hair color and the characteristics of the treated area, more treatments may be required for optimal results.
• Maintenance treatments: after completing the course, 1-2 maintenance treatments per year are recommended to remove regrowing, lighter or thinner hairs and to ensure that the results are permanent.
